Latchwork supplies, installs and operates lockers and steel storage cabinets in Singapore. Two things are on offer: the cabinets themselves — member lockers, changing lockers, parcel lockers, device charging cabinets, storage cupboards, secure cabinets and shelving — and the locks that go on them, at three tiers. Keyed cam locks and padlock hasps need no power and no subscription. Battery keypad and card locks run offline with no wiring. Our own connected smart access lets a member open a compartment by scanning a QR code or entering a PIN, and adds assignment management, automatic fee collection, timed release and a log of every opening. A furniture supplier delivers steel and leaves. The steel is the easy half. What actually goes wrong with a locker room is administrative: keys walk off, the assignment list drifts out of date, day lockers get squatted, locker fees go uncollected, and departures leave lockers occupied by people who left. Latchwork supplies the cabinets and, where you need it, the platform that handles all of that — assignments, automatic fee collection, timed release, access rules and a log of every opening. That platform is software we built and run ourselves, not a badge on someone else's product. We also quote plain keyed lockers where that is genuinely the right answer, and say so.

No. Roughly half of what we quote is conventional: keyed cam locks on cupboards and filing, padlock hasps in changing rooms, battery keypad locks on school and gym lockers. On three of our eight product families a keyed lock is what we recommend by default, before you tell us anything about your site. The connected platform is the reason most people call us and it is genuinely better where assignments churn or money changes hands, but a supplier whose answer is always the most expensive option is not advising you.

No. On the connected tier everything happens in the phone's browser — the member points their camera at the QR code on the door and a page opens that already knows which compartment it is. Requiring an app install is where locker schemes lose their least technical users, and those are exactly the members who then complain to the committee. A numeric PIN on the keypad at the end of the bank works for anyone who would rather not use a phone at all, and the lower tiers involve no phone whatsoever.

Usually yes, and it is much cheaper than replacement. The same cam lock cut-out that takes a battery keypad lock will also take a connected electronic latch with a controller at the end of the bank, so you can stop at whichever tier solves your problem. We survey a sample door before quoting, because door thickness and latch geometry decide whether the kit fits. If your lockers are too thin-gauge, too old or too corroded to hold a latch reliably, we will tell you that rather than sell a kit that will fail within a year.

Cabinets are quoted per project because the price is driven by compartment count, gauge, finish, which lock tier you choose, and how difficult the site is to install in. As a rough guide, keyed steel lockers start in the low hundreds of dollars per compartment; battery keypad locks add a modest per-compartment cost and no recurring fee; connected access adds more per compartment plus an annual platform subscription per bank. Under the managed model there is no capital cost to you at all. Our pricing page explains what moves the number, which is more useful than a headline figure we would have to withdraw at survey.

Standard sizes in standard finishes typically run six to eight weeks including sea freight and installation in Singapore. Custom colours add a powder-coat run and custom sizes add fabrication time. A lock retrofit on existing lockers is much faster — usually two to three weeks from order, and about a day per room on site, at either keyless tier. Anyone quoting a two-week lead time on a full new locker fit-out is either selling someone else's stock or air-freighting at a cost that will surface somewhere in your price.

That deployment is our proof that the platform works unattended in a public venue; the storage range is newer, and we would rather say so plainly than imply an installed base we do not yet have.
